The summer is really upon us as our first team arrives tomorrow for our first term of english camps. Starting this Sunday we will have two different locations beginning english camp for 3 different estonian churches with two churches from the states kicking it off. This year the theme is called "Stories". We all live in stories. We love to tell stories, but we also love to hear a good story. This summer will be doing God's story. One of the guys from SOMA communities has been writing and helping us with materials for the summer. We are excited to see what God will do, but we also know that we are taking a risk. We have been in prayer that God would already be softening the hearts of the young people that will come and hear about God for the first time in their life. We start day one already with creation and the fall of man. I think the beauty of this year is that students will really have a bigger understanding of who God is and why they need to think about submitting their lives to him. They will get a more complete view and understanding of the gospel. On our part we know that we can only plant seeds with loving these students and listening to their stories, but we wait to see God grows these seeds in the students both Christian and non.
I ask that you continually keep Liina and I in your prayers. Liina is finally able to join me for the summer and experience english camps. I am excited how God is going to grow us together this summer as we serve with one purpose, one heart, and one love.
I ask that you also pray for our team and intern team. We feel a little under-staffed this summer, but we are trying to trust God for his constant grace and energy. Finally, pray for the students that will attend camp. Whether Christian or non, we want to see God touch each of their lives and either grow the Christian students faith deeper or to call non-christians to submit their hearts to him and to God's story.
I or Liina will try to update with pictures through the week and also try to let you know what is going on if I have internet. Internet is always the question as to whether it is turned on or not in the schools during the summer.
