Last Friday, I was able to get home from camp just in time to help Liina with preparations for her birthday. I admit that I was tired, but pushed on because I love my wife so much. Our friends let us have a party at their business, which has many games and video things. Liina invited our home group, some friends from school, and her family. Liina wanted to try to make her birthday party more missional minded with getting her relationships in life to connect with each other. Of course, it is awkward a little bit, but eventually small connections started to be made. We will see what happens in the future. We had pizza, snacks, and lots of cake. It was fun to play games with everyone and just hang out and have fun. Many of our friends came without their kids, so that was fun to watch all the couples challenging each other at different video games like guitar hero and wii sports. Liina's dad fell in love with wii sports. Everytime I have spoken with him over the past few times, he keeps asking me about wii and how can he play again? He is pretty funny. I am just happy that Liina got a birthday party. She has not had many parties since most of her friends are always away in the summer. It is hard to get people together, but I am glad that this birthday worked out, especially as she turned 25.
