Laughing like kids....

Thanks to our friends, Liina and I had a night out on the way back from Minneapolis and stopped at Wisconsin Dells. Liina has been waiting for a long time for this, to go to a huge indoor water-park. We ended up getting an amazing room and deal at the Great Wolf Lodge. God is awesome in how he took care of us. We had an great time going down the water slides, playing in the wave pool, relaxing and talking. Also, Liina was on the adventurous side and said lets do the Tornado slide. I did not think that she would want to do this since she gets motion sickness easy on rides, but she had started out small and had already been on all the rides and slides with no problems. We did not know what we were getting ourselves into, but we carried our huge tube up and up to the top. I ended up going backwards and Liina watched us take the plunge into the tornado. It made us giggle and laugh so hard like little kids again. Liina was like, lets do it again, lets do it again. So we did, but then that was enough. It was a great time for us and an experience that we won't forget.

This whole year has been an amazing journey of what seems like a once in a lifetime opportunity. We want to do things and have experiences that we may never have again. I think this has been a key for us since Africa. We have found that in the routine of life, we take to many things for granted. We don't take advantage of our friendships, experiences, and provisions as a once in a lifetime opportunity, but just something that we expect to happen everyday. We want to cherish every opportunity to do something or even remind ourselves to cherish each simple conversation with our friends. We don't want to take anything for granted since it is God who graciously gives us each moment of everyday. It is He who continues to turn us inside out.
